The initial doctor’s exam at Affinity Sports Medicine & Orthobiologics is usually billed to commercial insurances and Medicare. During your first office visit, a treatment plan will be developed with the doctor and the patient based on the nature of your injury.
At this time, Orthopedic Regenerative Medicine is considered investigational. As such, commercial insurance companies are not covering these treatments. A typical knee replacement surgery in the United States can cost $45,000 to $50,000. Compared with the cost of deductibles and co-insurance, the out of pocket cost for Stem Cell treatment should be considerably less. Affinity Sports Medicine & Orthobiologics offers patient financing for regenerative procedures. Our hope is that Orthopedic Regenerative Medicine procedures will be covered by commercial insurance and Medicare in the near future.
Please consult our office staff to determine if your insurance plan is considered In-Network. If it is found that your insurance plan is Out-Of-Network, our staff will make every effort to become credentialed with your insurance carrier. Self-pay patients are charged the Medicare allowable rate for the initial office visit.
